Is It Wrong...
...for me to enjoy watching people being blown to bits?

I'm pretty sure Chad is mis-identifying the weapons platform. If that were an AC-130 Spectre video, the view of the target area would have shifted enormously minute by minute as the gunship orbited. I think what we're looking at is an Apache (helicopter) video. This is consistent with (a) the more-or-less stationary perspective, (b) the pilot-gunner (two-person) banter, and (c) the ammunition readout that decrements near the bottom-right of the screen. An Apache's 30mm cannon fires at about 10 rounds per second, and you'll note that the video reflects that.
